State Governments

Government of Assam

SRF Foundation in collaboration with Govt. of Assam, aims to fill the resource gaps in the system by transforming 10 government schools into 'Model Schools' in Kamrup (Metropolitan) district. Also, the Foundation has collaborated with IndiGo under IndiGo School Adoption Program and GetSmart Mobile Digital Bus Program in Dibrugarh, Assam covering 15 school campuses.

The Foundation is bringing physical transformation by providing basic amenities such as toilets, drinking water facilities, libraries, science labs, renovation of classrooms, sports materials etc. and academic transformation by providing training for the Headmasters and teachers and providing academic workbooks to the students and teachers. Along with academic and physical transformation, the program focuses on bringing digital transformation in the IndiGo adopted schools as well as the community by running the IndiGoGetSmart Mobile Digital Bus.

Government of Gujarat

With the Govt. of Gujarat too the Foundation is collaborating to transform 36 Govt. schools into 'Model Schools' in Dahej, Netrang and Vadodara by implementing physical, academic and digital interventions in the program schools.

The Foundation is also running 5 IBM KidSmart Early Learning Centres in Dahej which provides state-of-the art computer-aided learning to government school students. In Vadodara the Foundation is running IndiGo School Adoption and GetSmart (mobile digital bus) Program in 15 school campuses.

Department of Elementary Education Haryana

The Department of Elementary Education is part of the state Government in Haryana that works to bring quality elementary education in the state of Haryana. The Foundation supports the efforts of the Department of Elementary Education by filling the resource gaps in the system and making physical, academic and digital transformation in Government Schools.

Under academic transformation, the Foundation provides academic workbooks, trainings to the Headmaster and Sarpanch, mobilize the communities in Mewat, set up bridge schools, and carry out village resource mapping etc. Under physical transformation, the Foundation has focused on providing basic amenities like toilets, drinking water stations, libraries, science labs, and sports facilities etc. to the program schools.

Under digital transformation, smart classrooms are created to ensure that students get enough digital exposure and knowledge. Also,in collaboration with Capgemini India, the Foundation also runs Digital Literacy Centre in Gurugram which is a conceptualization of Capgemini Digital Literacy Mission (CGDLM),which aims to digitally empower 3000 youth in three years. The program function in accordance with National Digital Literacy Mission on digital transactions across all section of the economy.

Government of Karnataka

The Department of Education is part of the state government of Karnataka that works towards bringing quality education in the state. SRF Foundation in collaboration with various partners and Dept. of Education of Karnataka is executing various programs to transform the adopted schools physically, academically and digitally. Along with Capgemini India we are running Capgemini School Adoption Project thereby, transforming 10 government schools into model schools and Digital Literacy Centre, which aims to digitally empower 3000 youth in Bengaluruin three years. Along with Brillio we are running Brillio Digital Based Learning Program, thereby transforming 20 govt. schools into model schools. Along with Yonex Sunrise India and PNB Housing Finance Limited. We are running Sports for Development Program thereby providing better opportunities for playing Badminton in 10 adopted schools.

Government of Madhya Pradesh

SRF Foundation collaborates with the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh for many of its projects in different locations along with its plant location of Gwalior, Bhind, Dhar, Bhopal and Indore. With the help of the government, the Foundation is running 44 govt. schools, 3 IBM KidSmart Early Learning Programme centers and Teachers Try Science to Middle School program in 30 Govt. schools of Gwalior. Here also, the Foundation works in order to bring physical, academic and digital transformation.

The Foundation has also collaborated with IndiGo under IndiGo School Adoption Program and GetSmart Mobile Digital Bus Program in Indore covering 15 school campuses. Along with academic and physical transformation, the program focuses on bringing digital transformation in the adopted schools as well as the community by running the IndiGoGetSmart Mobile Digital Bus.

Government of Rajasthan

The Foundation supports the efforts of the Govt. of Rajasthan by filling in the resource gaps in the system by converting government school to 'Model Schools' in Bhiwadi by doing academic, physical and digital transformation.

Till date we have 13 'Model Schools' in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. With the help of the government, we also run eight IBM KidSmart Early Learning Centres in Bhiwadi, which provide state-of-the art computer-aided learning to government school students. Along with HP India, the Foundation is also running HP World on Wheels (WoW) Program in Bhiwadi in order to bridge the digital divide in its 13 intervention schools and villages.

Government of Tamil Nadu

SRF Foundation along with the Department of Education, Tamil Nadu has been working together in Chengalpattu, Gummidipoondi, Manali, Chennai and Viralimalai. SRF Foundation in collaboration with various partners and Dept. of Education of Karnataka is executing various programs to transform the school physically, academically and digitally. Along with Capgemini India we are running Capgemini School Adoption Project thereby transforming 10 schools into model schools and Digital Literacy Centre, which aims to digitally empower 3000 youth in Chennai in three years. Along with Yonex Sunrise India and PNB Housing Finance Limited we are running Sports for Development Program thereby providing better opportunities for playing Badminton in 10 adopted schools. Along with IBM, we are running IBM KidSmart Early Learning Program, thus, creating 4 IBM KidSmartEarly Learning Centers where students can get the experience of computer aided learning.

Government of Uttar Pradesh

The Foundation support the efforts of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) by filling the resource gaps in the system by transforming government schools to 'Model Schools' in Greater Noida by bringing physical, academic and digital transformation. Academic transformation includes providing trainings to the Headmasters, teachers and the Sarpanch, providing academic workbooks to the students and teachers. Infrastructure development of the schools by providing basic amenities like toilets, drinking water facilities, libraries, science labs, smart classes, sports materials etc. The Foundation also ensures digital transformation through the IndiGoGetSmart Mobile Digital Bus into the 15 schools and villages around.

In collaboration with Capgemini India, the Foundation also runs Digital Literacy Centre in Noida, which is a conceptualization of Capgemini Digital Literacy Mission (CGDLM), which aims to digitally empower 3000 youth in three years. Government of Uttarakhand

The Foundation supports the efforts of the Govt. of Uttarakhand by filling in the resource gaps in the system by transforming 36 government school of Dehradun, Kashipur and Pantnagar into 'Model Schools' by doing various interventions.

The Foundation is working at the three levels to bring transformation i.e. academic, physical and digital. Under physical interventions the Foundation is providing basic amenities like toilets, drinking water facility, libraries, science lab, Smart Classes etc. In order to upgrade academic learning the Foundation provides Academic Enrichment Workbook for classes 1 to 8th to enhance the learning level outcomes of the students and to provide digital exposure to the students the Foundation providesIndiGoGetSmart Mobile Digital Bus and HP Muskan World on Wheels.

In Uttarakhand the Foundation is also doing the CSR of various partners such as running IndiGo School Adoption Program along with IndiGo covering 15 school campuses and HP Muskan School Support Program covering 6 schools.

InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo)

InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) has Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) inculcated in IndiGo’s work culture. IndiGo, India's largest and fastest growing airline stands for three things: on-time performance, affordable fares and hassle-free travel experience. IndiGo takes pride in serving customers, associates and society with utmost safety, responsibility and integrity.

The vision and mission of the organization is to consistently contribute towards the betterment of under privileged sections of the society for economic prosperity, social development, environmental integrity and sustainable development of the nation. Hence, the IndiGo CSR known as “IndiGo Reach” focuses on children & education, women empowerment and environment.

IndiGo along with SRF Foundation have launched “IndiGo – School Adoption Program” targeting 24,000 students in 75 Govt. schools spread in five locations (Indore - M.P, Dehradun - Uttrakhand, Vadodara – Gujarat, Noida/Greater Noida - Uttar Pradesh, and Dibrugarh - Assam) in the country. The program aims at bringing physical, academic and digital transformation.

The major component of the program is IndiGo - GetSmart Mobile Digital Bus which offers a mobility solution to this digital divide by bringing the world of information and knowledge over wheels to isolated and disadvantaged groups in rural areas whereby they can not only be linked to the various Govt. programs and initiatives but also gain Computer e-literacy and IT-enabled education for rural youth, school children, farmers groups and others, further helping to bridge the digital education gap encountered by those living in remote regions.

Capgemini India

Capgemini Technology Services India Limited is a public limited Company which provides customized and packaged application development, application maintenance outsourcing, business intelligence services and application re-engineering through large offshore development centres in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

In August 2016, Capgemini India joined hands with SRF Foundation to initiate "School Adoption Project" aiming at holistic transformation of 20 government schools of Chennai and Bengaluru locations impacting more than 12,000 students. The program aims at bringing physical, academic and digital transformation in schools.

Capgemini School Adoption Project have two major elements i.e.

  • Structural Learning through InnoSTE(A)M (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) which focuses on building capacity of teachers and students to scientifically think and solve problems.

  • Smart Classrooms to provide digital based education to program schools. This also includes providing intervention schools with digital equipment along with workshop for teachers to keep them abreast with the digital world.

  • Capgemini Digital Literacy Centres, product of Capgemini Digital Literacy Mission (CGDLM) aims at creating at least a digitally literate and empowered person per household in its respective locations of India. The program, not only bridge the digital divide existing within the country but also empower its beneficiaries to adopt the internet technology for their day-to-day living. The program function in accordance with National Digital Literacy Mission on digital transactions across all section of the economy.

  • Apart from this, SRF Foundation also runs 'Project Akshara' along with Capgemini India which reaches out to 16,000 students of 60 schools in Bengaluru and 30,000 students from 60 schools in Chennai by providing them notebooks.

HP India

The Hewlett-Packard commonly known as HP is a multinational information technology company which has developed and provided a wide variety of hardware components as well as software related services to consumers, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and large enterprises, including customers in the government, health and education sectors.

SRF Foundation in collaboration with HP India has started HP World on Wheels (WoW) a digital mobile bus towards digital inclusion in Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and Gummidipoondi in Tamil Nadu. This initiative is to bridge the digital divide among the school going children, youth and community and it will further help in making linkages to government programmes and initiatives. It aims to promote e-learning for children, skills and entrepreneurship for youth and digital based services for the community people. In the tenure of 110 months of our partnership, we are aiming to reach out to 1,00,630 students, youth and community.

Along with HP India, SRF Foundation also run ‘HP Muskan School Support Program’ across six program schools in Pantnagar transforming them both physically and academically thus impacting 1537 students. The program aims to ensure 0% out of school children in project area and achieve age appropriate student learning outcomes, promote leadership among schools, communities, HMs/teachers, students, SMCs and develop ownership and behavioral change amongst schools and communities.

Schneider Electric India Foundation

Schneider Electric is a leading brand in electrical equipment, which provides skill based employability training on electrical trade.

SRF Foundation in collaboration with Schneider Electric India Foundation runs a ‘Basic Electrician Training Program’ in Mewat, Haryana. In 2018 the program also got scaled to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and Gummidipoondi in Tamil Nadu. The program has completed 18 batches with more than 600 students completing the course. The objective of the program is to train the youth in Electrician trade with a good mix of practical and theoretical knowledge and encourage them to become self-employed by imparting entrepreneurial capabilities too.

The result of the program has been encouraging. More than 66% of our trained students are currently self-employed or working as electrical technician with Central/State Government Electrical Departments as Electrical Lineman or with reputed companies such as Okaya Batteries, Claro, Network 18, Blue Star etc.

Sunrise Sports (India)

Sunrise Sports (India) Pvt. Ltd. is a New Delhi based authorized distributor of Yonex brand badminton, tennis racquets, shuttlecocks, apparels and other related products also support various initiatives as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards the welfare and uplifting the living standard of the communities.

With SRF Foundation, Sunrise Sports (India) Pvt. Ltd. has collaborated for ‘Sports for Development - Badminton’ program that covers 23 Govt. schools in Mewat for promotion of Badminton. The program aims to intrpduce a sports culture among students and develop infrastructure for sports in order to promote and inculcate the value of sportsmanship, discipline, team work etc. and sporting skills among school students as means of social assets. The program is impacting more than 5000 students and 18 youth who have been assigned as coaches.

This year the same program has been scaled up 20 new schools in Chennai and Bengaluru on boarding partnership with PNB Housing Finance Ltd.

PNB Housing Finance Limited

PNB Housing Finance Limited (PNB Housing) is a registered housing finance company with National Housing Bank (NHB). PNB Housing provides housing loans to individuals and corporate bodies for purchase, construction, repair and upgradation of houses. It also provides loans for commercial space, loan against property and loan for purchase of residential plots.

With SRF Foundation, PNB Housing has collaborated for ‘Sports for Development - Badminton’ program that will cover 10 Govt. school in Bengaluru and 10 Govt. School in Chennai for the promotion of Badminton in a joint collaboration with Sunrise Sports India. The program aims to introduce a sports culture and infrastructure for sports in order to develop, promote and inculcate the value of sportsmanship, discipline, team work etc. and sporting skills among school students. The program will impact 10,000 students and 20 youth who will be assigned as coaches for the students.

Brillio Technologies

Brillio Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a global technology consulting company having its principal office at Bengaluru for India. It focuses on leveraging emerging technologies for innovation and application modernization in the Banking & Finance, Utilities, CPG, Retail, Technology, Media and Entertainment Industries. The company also support various initiatives as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards the welfare and uplifting the living standards of the communities where it operates.

The program covers 20 Govt. schools which include seven high schools, two middle schools & eleven higher primary schools. It caters to students from grade 5th - 7th class in thirteen schools and 8th - 10th class in seven schools of Bengaluru covering Mathematics, Science and Language based on Karnataka state syllabus. The program aims to enhance grade appropriate digital content knowledge, bridge digital divide and foster digital citizenship, improve learning level and trigger to connect outside world and improve teaching process for enabling best pedagogy.

The teachers have integrated the Brillio Digital based program into regular classroom teaching – learning process very effectively. In total, 3853 students from 20 Govt. schools are accessing and learning through Brillio Digital Based Learning Program.

The Times Group

The Times Group is India’s largest media conglomerate, with five dailies, two lead magazines, 29 niche magazines, 32 radio stations, two Television News Channels, and one Television Life Style Channel. Its major publications include the Times of India and The Economic Times – two of the largest in the country with approximately 4.3 million copies circulated daily.

The Foundation partners with the Times Group to bring ‘Spoken English Program- Teach India’ classes to the underprivileged youth of Mewat since 2010. The classes aim to upgrade the skills of the trainees, so that more employment opportunities will be opened to them in various sectors such as Retail, Service, Finance, etc. by imparting the 'Spoken Aspect of English Language' and preparing them for job interviews through a series of 'Face the World' and confidence building modules. Thus, making the student proficient. The program is of three months duration with an intake of 60 students broken into three groups of 20 students each.

Till date the Program has completed 22 batches and churned out around 1350 students from the program. At the end of each batch, a job fair is organised where reputed companies from all fields such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Big Bazaar, Pantaloons, Bajaj Capital, Aegis and DIAL etc. recruit the students.

IBM India

International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) India is a multinational information technology company. IBM is a major research organization that provides hosting and consulting services in areas ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnology.

IBM has been collaborating with the Foundation in its IBM KidSmart Program and Techniques of Teaching Science to Middle Schools (TTS-MS) for children and teachers associated with government schools in Haryana and other parts of the country.

Teachers Try Science (TTS) is a teacher training programme launched in 2014 in collaboration with SarvaShikshaAbhiyan (SSA), RashtriyaMadhyamikShikshaAbhiyan (RMSA), State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of Haryana and IBM India, the program is designed to train Champion Trainers of the District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) faculties, who promote the curriculum and education under the Teachers Try Science (TTS) in the Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Champion Trainers and teachers were able to reach out to more than 200,000 students from 1240 Govt. schools. The basic objective of the program is to deliver Science education to every child by empowering teachers in using low cost, no cost or recycled materials and encourage the interactive teaching of Science in a more holistic manner.

Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) is another significant element of the program which is launched with the objective to develop new programmes and policies for fostering innovation in different sectors of the economy, provide platform and collaboration opportunities for different stakeholders, create awareness and create an umbrella structure to oversee innovation ecosystem of the country.

IBM KidSmart Program was launched in 2010 in collaboration with IBM India Pvt. Ltd. to provide opportunities to the students of government primary schools to experience state-of-the-art computer-aided learning. The initiative integrates reading, cognitive, physical and creative aspects of learning. Till date, the Foundation is successfully operating the programme in five states namely, Haryana (Mewat), Rajasthan (Bhiwadi), Gujarat (Dahej), Madhya Pradesh (Gwalior and Indore) and Tamil Nadu (Gummidipoondi&Viralimalai) covering 57 schools of 57 villages and more than 22,000 school going and out of school children. Over the years, the programme has touched the lives of 114 regular Government school teachers, 57 Vidya volunteers, 110 Anganwadicenters and 114 non-paid volunteers.

Sequoia

SRF Foundation along with Sequoia Capital and individual philanthropists launched a project named 'Shri Udaan' in April 2016 at The Shri Ram Schools (TSRS) to address the academic needs of children from Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Additional teachers across school campuses, both at Vasant Vihar&Moulsari, are ensuring learning at par with their peers in the long run. English being the medium of instruction, a large emphasis is laid on English communication and comprehension and also strengthening the Arithmetic skills as well.

Signify Innovations India Limited

Signify Innovations India Limited (formerly known as ‘Philips Lighting India Limited’) is a diversified technology company, focused on improving people’s lives through meaningful innovation in the areas of designing and manufacturing lighting products and solutions. Signify in its continuing endeavor towards CSR has embarked on supporting the cause of Promotion of Sports and Enhancing School Infrastructure in Rural Government Schools through a project namely ‘Sports for Development – Lighting Playgrounds and Lighting Classrooms’.

The aim of the project ‘Sports for Development – Lighting Playgrounds’ is to make significant advancement in sporting spirit and infrastructure among four intervention schools spread in four villages of Nuh, Mewat through lighting up of the playgrounds of Badminton and Volleyball Courts towards promoting evening sports.

The aim of the project ‘Lighting Classrooms’ is to bring tremendous interest among students in classroom based activities and help overcome the sense of fatigue, demotivation caused due to poor illumination of classrooms during class hours for 5000 children studying through 150 classrooms in 15 govt. schools of Greater Noida.

Non-Governmental Organization

CARE India

CARE India is a leading national development organization, which has extensive global network. They emphasize on helping disadvantaged women and girls escape poverty. In times of natural disasters, CARE also delivers emergency aid to survivors and assists in them rebuilding their lives.

The Foundation’s partnership with CARE India has made possible the launch of Udaan, an accelerated learning program for older out-of-school girls, aged 11-14 to complete primary school in 11 months in a residential setting.

Academic Institutions

SRF Foundation believes in the theory of collaboration with all stakeholders where academic institutions play a vital role in terms of exchanging theoretical and practical experience with the Foundation and vice versa. Under the sphere of exchanging experiences with academic institutions, the representatives from most of these institutions makes visit to the program locations of SRF Foundation.

The Foundation also provide internship opportunities to the students of these academic institutions to give the students an idea about the development work which is done at grass root level for communities at large to build their real time understanding on theory of change and sustainability.

The Singapore Management University offers established undergraduate and postgraduate programs that aim to produce leaders and creative entrepreneurs capable of excelling in a rapidly changing and dynamic world. It advocates partnerships from all over the world to give their students the much-needed exposure.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM)

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, is an Institute of National Importance established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to pursue design and manufacturing oriented engineering education, research and to promote the competitive advantage of Indian products in global markets.

Management Development Institute (MDI) is a business school in India. It was established in 1973 by Industrial Finance Corporation of India and is located in Gurgaon and Murshidabad, West Bengal.The institute offers various post graduate diploma programmes. The Shri Ram School (TSRS)

The Shri Ram School (TSRS) was set up in 1988, under the aegis and vision of Padma Shree Late Mrs. Manju Bharat Ram. Its progressive, inclusive, secular, child-centric philosophy has led it to be rated as India’s Number One Day School by Education World’s schools survey consecutively in 2008,2009, 2011 and 2014.

TSRS collaborates with the Foundation to share its academic and non-academic expertise for the benefit of the Rural Education Program in Mewat. It shares its best practices, and its teachers participate in running extra-curricular activities for the Mewat children on Saturdays. In addition, it lends its philosophy and guidance to the Foundation’s Enhancing Early Education Program (3EP).
