The world is experiencing major lifestyle changes during COVID-19. The pandemic has deeply affected our lives, maintaining social distancing has become a sign of care, suddenly screens of laptops and mobiles have become the new windows of socialising, face masks have become an integral part of our clothing and sanitisers have become an essential item.
New demands seek new inventions.
COVID-19 has ensured that sanitizers are found in almost all households. It has become an essential item that each individual should carry along.
Keeping this in mind, Ajay Kumar a student of 8th class from one of our Capgemini adopted schools in Greater Noida took extraordinary steps to go beyond the regular curriculum. Putting the lab learnings of InnoSTE(A)M into practice, he embarked on a creative journey. With the use of ultrasonic sensors, Arduino and jumper wires he developed an ‘Automatic Liquid Dispenser Machine’. The machine functions in a very simple manner, where in once you put your hand in front of the sensor, the sanitizer is dispensed automatically. It is also designed to be a disabled-friendly equipment.
It was through awareness and education only that Ajay could manage to develop an innovative product like this, which is also the need of the hour. Such achievements by our students strengthen our resolve to transform life through education.
