Capgemini Digital Literacy Centre is SRF Foundation’s digital education initiative, in collaboration with Capgemini India and the Government Education Department of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Capgemini Digital Literacy Mission (CGDLM) aims at creating at least one digitally literate and empowered person per household across all its intervention locations in India to bridge the digital divide that is currently prevalent in the country. It also aims to empower its beneficiaries to adopt the internet technology for their day-to-day living.
This initiative has been planned for a period of three years in four Capgemini India locations namely, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru and Chennai. It endeavors to train 3000 persons in each location in the age group of 14-70 years and make them digitally literate using ICT as an outreach platform. This program functions in accordance with the National Digital Literacy Mission that promotes digital transactions across all sections of the economy.
